Overview

We're a focus group for youth, by youth, centered around neuroscience. We focus on learning about topics such as mental health issues, neurodivergence, and brain development, all while fostering a supportive space where teens can share their experiences and perspectives.

No registration required- limited to 3rd through 8th grade

Goals

As a youth centered group, we hope to:

  • Foster a space where participants can engage with each other and share experiences

  • Promote shared discussions on neuroscience topics

  • Learn more about what neuroscience is, how to get involved in the field, and potential future careers

  • Promote engagement within the nuerosciences for participants!



Activities

This focus group will have a combination of discussions, informative presentations, and activities as listed below. We will be having:

  • Panel discussions with experts in neuroscience

  • Guest speakers in the neuroscience field

  • Showcases of recent breakthroughs and advancements in neuroscience

  • Hands-on projects and presentations

  • Snacks at every meeting!
